Update of MATLAB MDCS Integration
Scientists need large number of MATLAB processes on many compute nodes. The best tool was the MATLAB Distributed Computing Server (MDCS). An earlier Tiger-Team in 2014 had provided a setup for MDCS on the bwUniCluster. The aim of this project was the setup of MDCS on the bwForCluster MLS&WISO. For this purpose the newest MATLAB software was installed and the contact to MathWorks for the setup of the latest MDCS was established. While MathWorks tried to provide an updated set of MATLAB scripts to start MDCS on the cluster the product was discontinued. The follow-up product will be the topic of another Tiger-Team.
